Plain and simple, don't fix what isn't broke. There is a reason there are 50x more Tacomas on the road with 200k miles than there are Colorados. I can't understand anyone who thinks GM is ahead of anybody in the truck category besides HD trucks for towing. Chevy can't give away their trucks. Go to a Chevy dealer and listen to all the rebates and crap they are willing to give you just to say they sell a lot of them. The reliability on a Toyota is by far the best and no one is even close.

And if Toyota wanted to 'surpass' the big 3 in the HD truck world, they would. That isn't what they are interested in doing so that is why they don't have a dually, diesel, HD Tundra on the market. I'd rather have a truck that uses more gas but is built stronger and made to last than a throwaway truck every 3 years.

And yet the old and tired Tacoma still rules the roost, despite whatever the need the newest shiny object crowd is whining about now. I wonder why?

That diarrhea colored interior in the Limited today is awful, black would be a welcomed addition

I think you meant "tried and true"--unless you meant to enforce the other poster's position...

But seriously folks, I could quite literally care less what technology is employed in the rear brake as long as it stops the truck as needed--plus there are actual positives to drum v. disc brakes as secondary devices (rear brakes are secondary to the fronts, especially on a lightly loaded rear-end like most pickups, 80%+ of the time).

I had '68 Laverda 750 bike that had a quad leading shoe drum brake up front--stopped on a dime, every time...

Wish they would have discontinued Quicksand so then I'd have a rare short run color. :p

I don't know why. Any person who thought Cement was just going to be a Pro color was mistaken. Didn't Inferno start that way?

My wife is pretty much the same as she was in '05--it could be you are on to something here--but then there's always "if it ain't broke..." which seems to be what Nissan has done--but their position could also be "let the others duke it out, and we'll be there to pick up the pieces".

Sort of like "He's losing his mind, but I'm reaping all the benefits."

Each time I hear the admiration for the "Cement" color Tacoma I cannot help but conjure up an image of Jethro down by the "Cement Pond"...

It was but for 15 but then they made it available on all models for 16. Just how Toyota operates, they're pretty predictable.

Sales would beg to differ lol. But ya would be cool to have an exclusive color. Pyrite Mica was like that. Only had it for a handful of years. Same with Speedway Blue and Radiant Red.
