    The concrete was about $300CDN / yard averaging between the coloured and the pea gravel mix , they are both 32 Mpa

    no, the main issue is that i just pulled another wall down and theres a 2" iron pipe holding that entire section of the house up. im so fucking screwed right now its hard to think straight.

    nope. its pipe, if you whack it with a hammer it sounds hollow, not solid like id expect it to be. i sent some pics to the contractor and it sounds like im not as screwed as i thought i was. still a PITA

    i didnt even build this is the worst part. i knew the P/O had built it wihout a permit, but the whole structure feels like it was designed and built by a 15 year old that watched too much TLC

    yeah. the pipe itself isnt the issue, its the fact that the pipes were spaced and designed to hold up the roof of a carport, and someone dropped an attic on it and put walls up. hence why the front studs are bowing out because they are actually holding the entire weight of the attic and roof.

    Adding some properly sized posts and beams shouldn't be too big of a problem

    Also, does anyone have a preference on blown in insulation? Either atticat or green fiber is what I'm looking at. I have about 1600sq ft to blown in over the R-13 batts they put in between the trusses.
