    I changed my plugs over the weekend and found another hole. This one's on top of the frame rail, driver's side, above the axle.

    I have a sticky thread now on frame restoration. Of course, if you can get it replaced, by all means.

    Yours looks worse than mine did (I had no holes)

    ^^^^^^^No, sure don't. I've been proactive in contacting both Heffler and Toyota but I just get the same answers. My local dealer's Service Manager says they haven't received word from Toyota how to proceed so there wasn't anything they could do as a dealer. They wouldn't even look at it...

    Before I found out about the frame replacement deal last year I had contemplated finding a wrecked southern taco and swapping frames myself but as far as patching goes, I just don't think I would have anything to work with. What looks okay on the outside is ten times worse on the inside of the frame tubes.
    Wherever they riveted and spot welded two sheets of steel together is major cancer.
    I'm guessing the moisture and salt creep in, and being confined where it is, is impossible to thoroughly clean.

    Maybe a road trip to NJ is needed!!! The dealers are inspecting frames now and sending the failed ones to Toyota for frame replacement approval.

    The inside seams of mine where the steel clamps together - that wasn't all warped like yours is.

    Also, I did receive a letter from Toyota just after I finished my frame. I was annoyed.

    I would travel (or call) north. They deal with this issue daily, at very least give you better info regarding your frame replacement

    Dealers should inspect your truck and give you a rental for sure. My truck has been sitting at the lot for 2 weeks now waiting for a frame. I got a rental after my inspection.

    Thanks for the info All. I've considered going north. I sent Toyota another email last night asking if it was broken down into different sectors as far as schedule like the leaf springs were. We'll have to see what the reply is.
    Toyota has all the pics of my frame from the start and says they have my email and would contact me. I'm just one person though so am not holding my breath waiting. If I can manage to get off work at a decent hour I will try my local dealer again. It's been 2 weeks since my last communication with them.
