That is correct somewhat. The mounting locations are the same. I believe the total width of the Tacoma is slightly wider than the 4runner so you would be a little off. There is a guy who put a trail gear stinger bumper on his 3rd gen and it didn't look terrible as far as being a little wider.

 

@Blkvoodoo i believe the 3rd gen guys on here are running the first gen taco arbs. Do a search and I know they name the specific model number that they order

Ayeee, so I figured I'd throw this threads way.

So in October 19-21 I'm planning to be in Ashville to catch Greensky Bluegrass play its closest show to Richmond Va with my partner and dog and camping

So far I've read about Hurricane Creek. Is there anyother cool places to 4x4 by Ashville.

Not lifted more then stock but should have my Bilstiens by then

 

Hurricane Creek is fine stock, that's how I was the first time. Not challenging but really scenic. You need not wait for your Billies, our trucks are pretty capable out of the box.

I'd recommend it for anyone who hasn't made those first dents yet!

 

Heh.. I haven't looked at the pics from that trip in a while.

 

And, a word of advice. If it rains , and you like to drive in the mud, make sure you bring a tow rope at least, along with a buddy.

Yep you're fine stock out there. I will second bringing a buddy and a tow rope. When it gets muddy, it really gets muddy and there are some deep holes you can get stuck in when it has rained a lot.

Only other trail I know of is Ivestor Gap Trail. It starts at the trailhead for Black Balsam off the parkway. Black Balsam knob road will take you to the trailhead. It's only open seasonally but it is usually open around the time you're going up there. Worst case is you'll show up at the trailhead, Ivestor Gap gate will be shut and you'll be forced to cope with the absolutely horrific views of the mountains from 5500 ft of elevation. It will be tough, but try to enjoy it. (That was all sarcasm just in case someone doesn't pick up on it)
