I would actually be okay with buying someone's nice condition pull-offs. The Goodyear Kevlar tires that people are taking off of new trucks right now would be fine. I need four 265/70R16's.

I just contacted a guy on CL who had a nice set with 100m on them. Already sold. I'm scanning Facebook's marketplace now.

Thanks! I'm going to take my time with it. These types of things tend to pop up frequently, but never exactly when I need them. My current setup has plenty of life left, so I can be patient.

 

Put in a good word at any local tire shops. Sometimes they get customers who want to sell their tires in order to upgrade. These shops can't give much on take offs. Occasionally they'll arrange a buyer in order to sell a new set. I recently bought a set for my wifes car.....new take offs with less than 1k for about $.30 on the dollar of what they cost new.

Unfortunately, they are not available in 265/70R16, and I don't want to lift my truck. I've read several posts where guys who went to 75's had rubbing issues and decreased mpg.

 

You better run. Peer pressure is a bitch.

 

I have a 4 cylinder. Don't talk to me about mpg and the lack of them in these trucks lol!

 

I only have my schedule through the end of August, so it's hard to say right now. I'd rather let it cool down some. AOP might be out for me too, my October is looking pretty busy.

 

Yea... I'm going to be having my pec surgery at some point this fall. Want to get a trip in before I lose use of my shifting arm for a couple months.

 

Just got home. Had to recover my wife's great uncle's Astro van from his living room.

Pulled in his garage. Tried to hit the brake. Instead hit the gas. Drove through a wall, the dining room, another wall, and wedged it in the corner of the living room. Total disaster. Ha ha. He was fine though.
