I don't have anything planned that weekend, lets do it. Ok peeps, Mod day at my place in snobbsdale on Aug 26 or 27 (maybe both lol). Got a smallish 2 car garage and a curved driveway. Could probably work on 4 trucks at one time if we wanted.

Open invite, I will only be providing a couple pizzas and some drinks. My wallet won't support an army lol

 

If you want, we can piggy back my garage onto this mod day as well since I'm just down the street.

 

I'd offer up my garage too but it's way further down the street.... Aka viva South Vegas

Still in my investment property, but I just refer to it as the Viva South Vegas house due to its location

Not sure if the link will work, but found a '97 4Runner Limited that seems to only have a bad AC compressor. 165k miles for $5k with out getting the AC fixed. He's currently getting the whole vehicle diagnosed at the local dealership and the carfax checked out without any red flags.

I'd go for it, I rarely used A/C in Hawaii anyways except for maybe the hottest couple hours of the day.

I never use AC because growing up in AZ with the dry heat and 110+ this Hawaii "heat" doesn't phase me. My wife though and her Cali ritzy ass can't not have AC. I'll likely drive this and give her the Tacoma, fix the AC when it's convenient or something.

 

Sounds reasonable, I wouldn't mind going back to Hawaii... I want to invest in real estate over there. Overseas assignment listings come out on Wednesday... maybe I'll put that down as a preference.

 

Do it! BAH is only getting better and the return on property investment is getting even better. We are going to buy after our on post housing lease is up.

 

I wish I had bought the first time I was out there... at least now I have enough equity in my current house to sell and have a nice down payment out there... even by Hawaii standards.

 

Hawaii Kai is booming. Property value went up nearly $100k since 2015.

 

I'd probably end up either in Kaneohe or Salt Lake, somewhere with easy access to Hickam. I can only imagine if I had bought in 2010...

 

I'm in AMR by Salt lake. Property value around this area kinda sucks unless you go up further into the mountains.
