    Not real rough, but I have a feeling the shocks will perform better with the 650's. I think nmy truck is too light for the 700's.

    I've done both. Still have all my fingers and facial bones in tact! With 700# coils too, big time sketch. Needed 3 ratchets.

    Noticed the 650 has a taller block height than the 700 by a small margin per eibach spec...? I've blocked mine while running hard going fast, not a good feeling, and I have zero threads preload... Something to keep an eye on. Blocking coils on big hits = broken stuff.

    Why the heck would the block height be greater on the 650's? That just dumbfounds me.

    I as well. I thought of switching to 650 to get away from the block issue. Maybe this table is wrong? It's a super small amount but it's still longer...

    No, you're right. Even on Kartek's site, the block height is slightly greater. I don't think I'll have enough preload to do that anyway. I'll watch out for it.

    I'll keep an eye out. I may switch to the 650 anyways. I'm in a similar boat as you for harshness.

    Yeah, If I had started out with the 650's I probably would have been curious and bought 700's to try it out. I just want to try both 700 and 650 and see what the difference in ride is at the same ride height.

    Ah. I thought foxes came with 600lb springs from the factory.
    I had the stock Icon 650s and they held up my truck fine, but just ordered the 700's with the new coilovers.

    Love to see your opinions on the 650's. I always felt the 700's were a bit too rough. I'm still lacking a winch but do have a group 31 battery and dual ARB compressor hanging off the front with my bumper and lights and the 650's still feel more than adequate for the ride. I can't imagine the 50lb winch I'm going to get will make it feel way under rated.

    I've read on here and been told many times that you should use the lightest spring rate possible and switch to a heavier spring rate if you have excessive preload. Preloading the spring isn't bad, that's why we have adjustable coilovers. As of right now, I have almost no preload with the 700's and am just wondering if the performance of my shocks are suffering because of the heavy spring rate. The only way to really find out is to actually switch and see what the difference is.

    Totally agree. I came from BMW's and setting up my M3's was exactly the same. For the best handling vehicle you actually want to use the lightest rate possible for the spring. People often get this wrong that you need an excessively stiff spring for handling to reduce roll but that's not how vehicles like that work. Now obviously trucks are a different game but would assume similar on the spring rate. No need for excessive rate.
