Hi guys my tacoma is throwing up the light for the bsm and saying that it is not available. They were working fine till I went to the dealership for a service then they quit about 10 miles down the road any suggestions as to what might cause this my pickup only has 11,000 miles on it

What service was it? Honestly the easiest solution is to take it back and let them deal with it.

Common Turd Gen problem with the sensors failing or coming out of alignment. Take to dealer make them fix under warranty.

I'm honestly glad that mine doesn't have BSM, but not because it would be another headache to deal with. I figured with the growing rate of ignorant drivers out there, it'll be rendered useless once it's not able to keep up.

Stop spreading your hate and discontent on here, just buy a different vehicle already, you're making us all sad with our delicate sensibilities and we can't handle it....

There, I said it so nobody else has to!

Can't we just all get along? Smitty loves the coffee and donuts at his dealership! I'm taking mine in this week for the 6month service and if they don't have donuts I'm going to call Toyota corporate and start a claim!:bananadance:

I didnt want it myself but ym wife wanted heated seats so I had to get it with the package. That being said I like the BSM for cross traffic alerts when backing out of parking spots. It can see around other vehicles. Useless on the highway in my opinion, checking my blindspot is a habit

That's what the ignore button is for. Did that months ago and never looked back.

I love the BSM and have it on my two vehicles. Rule 1.... if it doesn't work and is under warranty...take it to the dealership and it will be fixed or replaced with a new one!!!

I've been saying it. His answer? He put me on his "ignore" list lol. He cannot make a post without calling it "turd gen" and talking about the problems he has like every single truck has them.
