I can walk you through...total cost of mine was under $1,000. It is really affordable if you have the space. You can go as small as 4'x4'x8 or larger like mine is 9'x10'

I got some cooler panels but basically you just need a room that you can insulate. I use a window a/c unit and a coolbot. brings the temp down to 34-40 degrees. I dont have all the pics but Ive already used it quite a bit.

I wish I had come up with it...I just found it a few years ago helping a friend. I bought a coolbot for him and he bought the ac unit and we put together a cooler for him. Fast forward a couple hunting seasons and I made my own cooler. Ive already had bear, moose, and deer hung in my cooler. I just need an elk this year! :)

So I moved to Wyoming after I got out of the Marine Corps and hunted with a rifle for the first time last year. Within 1 hour of opening day for mule deer shot a nice buck and had it packet out by noon. 2 weeks later went to the same spot and shot a bull elk within 30 minutes of legal hunting.
So needing more of a challenge I decided that this year I would do archery. I pulled out my old Martin (12 years old) compound bow and took it to get restrung, while that was happening I shot a new Mathews compound. All I can say is DEAR SWEET JESUS, there is a massive difference between the two.
So what I'm saying is it's time for me to start saving up for a new bow, or get really really sneaky with my recurve

Try the Reign series by Bowtech. I tried all of the "flagship" compound bows for weeks thinking I was going to end with a Hoyt. Then I decided on the Reign 7. At the end of the day it's all how it feels for you and what is most comfortable for you.

^Agreed. I've been looking for engineering jobs out there for the past month haha!

I had a bowtech assassin when they came out a few years back as my fist bow. I loved it, I ended up selling it after a year or 2 of no hunting spots so this year I picked up a cheap bow from a buddy thinkin I would "make due" just trying to get back into it. its a Quest G5 hammer. after a few months with it now I have it dialed in and really love it, and I have less then $200 into it. All that to say I agree with what the other guy said. Its all about what your most comfortable with.

No kidding, I grew up in Nevada and went to college in Idaho. I thought Idaho was going to be the utopia of hunting and fishing, wasn't too impressed when I got there. But yeah, Wyoming is by far the best place I've lived for hunting and fishing. I can get a over the counter tag for deer and elk and hunt archery, and if I don't get something with a bow go back during rifle season with the same tag. The secret to my spot is it's a 1/4 of a mile from where most people are willing to go, which means it's a 1/4 of a mile off the road lol.

We get otc tags too, just a lot of people road hunt, over hunt places etc. So once season opens the game are super skiddish but thats the challenges of hunting! I went and checked an old pond and it had some recent elk/deer activity so thats a good sign. this pond always has water no matter how dry the year is so I know its a hotspot, but usually they come in there at night :(
