Derped out my chrome bumper covers and the grill inserts, but left the center emblem chrome. Was going to derp the side and rear badges, but I figure I'll wait until I button everything back up tomorrow and get a look at it before I make that decision. I also want to derp out the rear of the hood, where it scoops down, so that it doesn't blind me with reflected sunlight anymore. I ran out of derp, and it started raining. Pics to follow after I install back on the truck, if I remember.

Also did the A/C drain extension. It was super easy, though it did take a little longer than it should have. I spent about 30 minutes routing, then rerouting the extension. I probably won't post pics of that...

Installed some amber fogs today -

Based on extensive internet research and feedback from around the web, which is always perfectly trustworthy, I went this route:

http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm - the "Endurance" version. Price wasn't too bad, about $47 shipped, so pretty similar to any regular replacement bulb. I really want yellow fogs and didn't want to spend a couple hundred $$ to get there, don't think that's necessary. Although I'm sure a set of projector fogs would be awesome, just not willing to pay for it.

Bulbs came pretty quick, and look quality.

    Light it up!
    IMG_20170801_164719.jpg

Installation took about 5 min... go in through the top of the grill, there's more than enough room.

I'll get some night shots at some point. Won't have before/after.... most of you should be able to see what stock fog lights look like. The real tell will be night/rain driving, which is why I did this swap, conveniently when it was 99 degrees outside. I will be interested to see the contrast the yellow gives me. I'm certain I'll have a chance this fall/winter as I have to drive to the coast quite often in the early mornings, and if any of you are familiar with the Oregon Coast range, especially Highway 6, you know it can get foggy/rainy/nasty.

When I get a chance to use these in real weather, maybe I'll post up a review of their performance.

When I did mine, I warmed them up slightly with blow dryer and was able to depress tab with thumb pressure. Wasn't super easy but managed to get them all without any breakage.

I really could have used this info about 10 hours ago! I broke a tab or two, but not completely off. I'll probably just shore up it all up with zip ties when I reinstall.

Finished up work a little early today so I made a few quick and easy modifications.

    1. Dipped the cheese grater.
    2. Dipped tacoma badges.
    3. Removed stock trd OR 4x4 decals. Have matte black ones I'll put on this week.
    4. Removed v6 badge and Wesley chapel toyota decal off tailgate.
    5. Added a lock to my bed storage on one side. Will see how I like it, then eventually do the larger compartment.

If it wasn't for you all I wouldn't have attempted half of this shit! Thanks for all of the cool ideas and helpful posts!

How many coats of derp did you do on your grill? I think I may have overdone mine... I kept spraying, waiting, spraying some more.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to put one more coat on. That's why it's all still hanging in the garage, waiting for me to put it all back onto the truck. If I like the look, but it doesn't hold up, I might have it all done with LineX or Rhino Liner.
