I have fun riding my motorcycle also I now have a legit excuse to have things like snack packs in the house and all sorts of other items with cartoon character promoters!

That's it! Nobody is ever living here! I think MA is similar.

Mine was the opposite, oddly enough. Virtually no cash. Her bank accounts didn't have anything crazy in them either. Based on how I observed her live her life, she didn't need anywhere near all of her pensions, social security, etc. so she'd let it pile up. She always had enough cash to buy a new car or go on a nice vacation or remodel her kitchen. But, because she did those things fairly regularly, cash didn't pile up over a certain point.

Turned out most of her assets were investments. Mutual funds, stocks she had for 50 years, stuff like that. She had written an estimate of her net worth before she died and her guess was very low. Didn't account for quite a few things.

 

The courts in Maine are skewed to dramatically favor the women involved, especially if there's kids in the equation. Guy I used to work with bought his house before he got married (like, well before) and his wife didn't work the entire time they were together. When they got divorced he got to keep the house, but he had to remortgage it to help pay for what the judge decided was her fair 'half' after he caught her cheating on him. Not even any kids involved, and she ended up getting nearly half of his net worth in a check.

 

Can't even imagine. Though I know of a friend of a friend with a similar deal. Apparently half his salary goes directly to her now so he can barely afford to survive, she doesn't work at all, and the kids are grown and gone and had been for years before she asked for a divorce.

 

That's also what we do.

I've come to the conclusion that I'll never make that mistake again...

Yeah... On second thought, I don't think I would either.

 

At the least we get used to things as our routines are..and yes some of us get more set.

Cupcake lived alone for a while before I moved in and she sometimes would come home and think "what's he doing her watching my TV on my couch?"

Fellow NEpeeps that use/have pellett stoves... Any recommendations on a good pellett brand? Meaning, long burning, high heat output and low ash?

Got my pellett stove cleaned today. Used Hammers Hot Ones. Guy said they aren't very good. Recommend Bear Mountain, or something like that.

 

I couldn't remember if that was your truck or not.

 

I use hammers hot ones as the guy i used talks very highly of them. Ive used them for 3 years now and no issues. Never heard of bear mountain. I think its one of those things were everyplace says a dif thing.

 

True. Good point. Different peeps try to push different things.

 

Used to use something in a white bag with green printing on it. Can't recall the name 1/2 a decade later, but you did remind me - it's August & I don't have to carry 3 - 4 tons of pellets down to the basement! Sorry, no help - but you just made my day.
