well I will say it. I have a 16 Colorado diesel z71 with 44k plus miles in 17 months. overall been good truck. I trade every 2 years and I can say to me and I test drove the zr2 many times in gas and diesel and been in 17 Tacoma trd off road and Pro many times. I am not bias and I do favor Toyota products over GM but they are nice trucks. Seating position is so much better in zr2. Seats are harder and firmer in zr2. Tacoma is more give in seats and not as hard. Driving and handling goes to ZR2. ZR2 is firmer riding but has lot less boy roll and stuff. ZR2 is quite inside and less road noise. Power and trans also better in ZR2. Now for me I think Tacoma interior looks way better. I think exterior looks way better on Tacoma. I promise resale is better from my truck now. I also like the storage and bed better in Tacoma much better. Now I think the Tacoma although not as good power wise and trans is fine. unless something just changes my mind ill be trading for the Tacoma trd offroad 18 model with tech and premium pkg. My issue mainly is I am unhappy with seats in Tacoma not adjusting and getting comfortable. I put on 33k miles a year or more and again my main reason is looks inside and out and Tacoma also isn't as harsh and not as firm ride but I like it. nothings perfect

    none yet/none planned! It's perfect!
I think the ZR2 forum is a bunch of pranksters! Sure does seem to be a lot of Tacoma trolling by guys with less than 10 posts. The Ridgeline guys are to nerdy for this crap and the Frontier guys probably don't give a shit!

I've owned Chevys. That's why I don't currently own any Chevys.

    Same goes for Dodge.

My dad's 60's (or 70s I don't know) Pontiac trans am failed and left him stranded in santa cruz. My dad's 1985 Pontiac Fiero caught on fire while he was driving on I5. My Dad's 1979 Sunbird blew a headgasket in 1982, and he wasn't able to see my mom give birth to me.

While driving on Highway 99, the engine mounts in my Mom's 1989 Blazer broke and the engine literally fell out of the car in 1993. This was after the engine was replaced a THIRD time.

My uncle's 1989 Toyota Trecel ran until my last year in high school (1999) when it was sold to a private buyer. My parents switched to Honda in the mid 90s and they never came back to GM.

While my dad's Fiero caught on fire a few years after it was manufactured, my 1991 MR2 lasted until 2008 on all original parts until some idiot wrecked my car.

GM is probably the worst manufacture of things (not just cars) in the history of human culture.

I'd take the powertrain in a heartbeat, but Colorados look like minivans. Even with badass suspension and bumpers.

If I wanted a really capable from the dealership truck, I'd get the Chevy.

If I wanted (and did) a capable truck with a huge modding community, I'd get the Tacoma.
