That is a good idea man! My rings are getting pretty fucked up...but hey its a wheeler. My old man freaks out whenever he sees my ride with more scratches. One day he will understand haha.

a lot of bad ass stuff
I picked up a set of used rings from a fellow member at 100$. That beats $80 a ring any day of the week.
The funny thing about wheeling is I don't think anyone really wants pinstripes on the bodyor rock rash on their wheels when they start off. After the first couple good stripes or rash you either accept it as part of the beast, or you dont go back out. It seems for those that accept it, still cringe from time to time though. I know I do. Hell I might shed a tear once I get some rash on my new Ray 10's. I know it will happen, but doesn't mean I want it to.

This is true that it still hurts to see a new blemish in any capacity, but at the same time I do surprisingly take pride knowing that it does get out instead of being pristine forever.

And the rings on the SCS wheels are totally fake, they don't come off at all. But I guess tape them off and sand and repaint them is the only option.

I wouldn't worry if they get scratched, just hope they are strong enough to not ding to the point that it would become a problem for the bead.

Im not sure how they would compare to the trd "beadlock" wheels when it comes to taking abuse. The scratches aren't deep enough to cause any real issues. Just sand and repaint. These wheels are perfect for the amount of wheeling I do and the trails I run.

If you wanted something stronger you could always get the OMF beadlock conversion with the Ray10s.

Nice man for this...so how does the OMF version work? Do they bolt onto the existing beadlock portion of the ray10? Def looks stout as shit.

Unfortunately yes, but it will take twice as long to run through both sets

I'm not sure, I know they offer a real beadlock conversion and a sim-U-lock conversion. You would have to ask @SCSPerformance for details on that.

I'm actually going back and forth between copper and bronze.

Anyone got any pictures with them on a MGM?

Post 1345 and maybe 1395. Pistol Pete has some nice shots on the 16" wheels too.
