Frame replaced by Toyota, and what else?

My question is this: Of you owners that have had their rusty frames replaced by Toyota, what other parts did they replace at that time?

I bought my truck from the original owner in late 2016 (December), and he was fortunate enough to have gotten a new frame installed by Toyota in August of 2016. Although I have all of the Toyota dealer maintenance records, it doesn't say anything about the frame replacement, or what else was replaced. So after doing several "crawling" inspections underneath, it appears that in addition to the entire frame, here is a list of what I think Toyota also replaced at the same time:

Rear springs & all related mounting hardware
    All brake lines
    Lower Control Arms
    Front Stabilizer bushings & brackets
    Front & Rear bumpers

Gives you an idea of how nasty Michigan is for vehicle corrosion, since it only had 76,385 miles when I bought it!

Strange to see all of that new stuff under there, and then see that Toyota re-mounted the old/nasty original shocks, upper control arms, and all of the rusted-thru factory skid plates!

Shocks are wear items that the owner may have opted to not replace.

UCAs are likely solid, just nasty. Lowers may well have disintegrated upon removal, or had bad ball joints.

Skid plates are, well, your choice.

Rear springs were likely part of the spring recall.

Brake lines, bushings, brackets could all be considered safety features as well has having been fubared upon removal.

Fairly certain the bumpers were at the owners dime. Or he may have done them himself with junkyard parts.

Regardless of how it happened, at least you have a solid platform to work from. Assuming the body isn't starting to crumble.

Yea, the body is just about mint. Thanks for the insight.
Shocks are replaced, and am removing the bed soon and flipping it over to remove the rust and Por-15 the spots where there was rust starting. Really not bad though.

    Pretty much stock right now
Rear springs were part of the replacement program on when my '01 was done. I also got a new gas tank skid, but it seems they don't include that anymore. No bumpers either.

When my vehicle was done, I had an engine oil leak - rear main seal - which I had them fix. If the frame were to fail on my '03, which it might, I would have them do the complete front end. They are going to do the LCA, and I have a leaky rack, so I would want a new rack, inner/outer tie rod ends, upper/lower ball joints. And any related bushings, etc. I would probably buy the parts ahead of time, hoping to save some money over the dealer's prices. Everything would be OEM though. I would go aftermarket for a new gas tank/engine skid - theirs are just too expensive for what they are. My engine/gas tank skids rusted away years ago. Maybe a gas tank.

That's a low milage truck. You may want to check out the front end components, but it seems they would have notified the owner if there were any problems there.

BMW seats, OME Suspension, CBI and NWTI plates front and rear, 13,000 winch, LED light bars, Ham Radio, topper with roof rack added, stainless exhaust, 2nd battery, inverter, sound deadener
I would highly recommend the LowRange OffRoad gas tank skid. About half the price of OEM, and 1000% better product.

Register at the Toyota Owners website https://www.toyota.com/owners/home and you should be able to see all your truck's dealer service records. There are two for my frame replacement - one for the Toyota-paid frame package and a separate one for all the extra stuff I had done with free or reduced labor.

The frame replacement one is itemized but didn't have prices on it, but they showed me the dealer copy when I picked up the truck and it was a few bucks shy of $13,000. Leaf springs, LCA's, hard brake lines, e-brake cable were paid by Toyota.

I paid parts-cost-only for shocks, front springs, bumpers, skid plates and some other stuff, and had lots of things done at reduced labor cost while it was apart. I put $6000 into it since it only has 60k miles and aside from the bumpers the body is pristine.

I had already registered at the Toyota website, but it took a little digging on the website to find the "details" of each service record. Here is what I found. It appears that ALL of this was replaced under warranty; even the rental car!

Wish they had given me a new bumper for free. Cost me a bundle for the new one, but since I want to keep it all original, I paid up.

I think my rental was charged at $47/day. Somewhere I saw a copy of Toyota's Guidelines to Dealers for the frame replacement procedure and they allow up to $65/ day. If you look at what they get for a leased vehicle and break it down to a daily rate, they're making out pretty well on the rentals. They offered me a brand new Tacoma, Tundra, or RAV4. I took the RAV4 since the wife is looking to replace her '05 and wanted to try the new ones (didn't like it too much).
