    About to do the same but am cutting the end off the exhaust. How close are you to the rear end housing? Worried about rubbing during normal highway use, will place it in the bed when wheeling.

    The tires about 8-12" away from the rear axle if that's what you're asking. I can take a picture later.

    Well after Saturday broke down and ordered two 19mm gear wrenches. One reg and one tilt head, well worth the $60. And of course they came in this morning, last night finished pulled stuff off the 300 and almost all 19mm with no room for socket

    ON the v6 2nd gen the mount is just before the axle, so you really can cut it anywhere on that curve and it will still be supported in the stock location. The only down side is sleeping in your bed with the truck idling. Probably not a good idea.
