Let me know how the truck comes off the line for you. Mine is just a dog from a dead stop. It is like the torque converter is locked up and doesn't allow the engine to spool up at all. The first 25-50 feet takes forever.

Thanks for this; it makes the wait so much harder for me. I've been ready since somewhere around page 1, patiently awaiting an 87 tune.

Yesterday I drove from San Antonio to Ft Worth with the 1.01B tune installed. My truck is stock (engine) and auto with no extra weight installed (yet).

Just to mirror everyone else, throttle response is better. What I can use to clarify this would be how Im not hesitant to switch to the left lane to pass now cause I dont lose a second for the engine to catch up with my pedal input. More power? I suppose, but the throttle response sure makes it feel like more power was gained. Shifting seems better now. I cant really put my finger on it, but the tune just makes the truck feel confident now.

Better gas mileage? So on Monday I drove to San Antonio from Ft worth (~250 miles) without any tune installed and this is not a flat drive, non-stop hills. I averaged between 70-80 mph most of the time and got 19mpg. Yesterday I drove home with the same driving style and speed and got 20.7 mpg. This tune absolutely give better gas mileage. There was no real wind interference to account for and both cities elevation is 650'.

Would I buy it again? Yep.

Would I recommend it to everyone? Only if you are into improving your truck. If you drive like grandma and your rpm never goes over 3k rpm you dont need this. If you want better throttle response and shifting then dont even hesitate, buy now.

It will be. I've already discussed this with Matt as I'm only interested in 87 tune. I just want better drivability, not better 0-60 times. I ordered for that only reason. I'm hoping my shipment will arrive soon.

Good point. In addition I run 93 in my truck, cant get 91 here and I dont want to use 89. To me the $5 dollar a tank difference is worth it. I understand the need for 87 tune for those who cant always get premium though. It would be a nice option.

Same here, I was considering 87 as well, he said you'd get all the benefits
of the tune just not the power.

Uploaded B spec this morning. Drove about 30 miles so far, pretty happy.

I feel like the throttle response could still be a bit better and I will be hoping for improvements on that end in the future.

Truck does get up to speed quicker now though. One thing that really impressed me was how slow I could go in 3rd gear, remain there and apply throttle with no need to downshift into 2nd. I've already had a couple of instances where I was rolling through some traffic and when things got moving and I started applying throttle and started moving I was surprised to see that I was in 3rd gear. Before the tune that scenario would lead me to downshift into 2nd as 3rd wouldn't have enough pull to get me going at such a slow speed. At least for my truck with this tune I'm able to hang out in 3rd longer than usual and still have the pull to keep up with traffic if need be.

That's all I got so far. I'll keep y'all posted as more comes to light.

I installed the 1.01B yesterday morning and drove around town. I ran two tanks of 93 octane before I got the tune, we don't have 91 octane in Louisiana, or at least where I've gotten gas. I let my last tank of 87 octane get down to 18 miles left on tank, so I was good there.

I left it in D, since I have the SSP, but I unplugged the SSP from the ODB port, not totally removing it, like an idiot. I couldn't tell much of a difference.

So this morning, I plugged SSP back into ODB port and left it in D. What a difference! Throttle response is way better. Noticed the gain in power from 2500 rpm and up. I could feel some gain in lower rpm. Not sure about fuel mileage increase yet. I'll wait until my next fill up.

Cant wait to see what 1.02 tune does.

You shouldn't have to worry about the SSP, just don't move
    it to Sport mode, no?

Correct, I left it in D.

I didn't totally remove it. I had just unplugged the part that plugs into ODB port, so I think that had something to do with it.

I'll remove it totally today and drive it in D. It should be the same as with it installed and left in D.

Most of this is all new to me. Tuning, etc.

As advertised the SSP does not affect D. Only S. What you experience was more likely the ecu learning cycle.

As an update to my previous post the stuttering is gone from my cold start in reverse. However, when turning the steering wheel slightly the truck seems to be trying to adjust rpms based on the power steering movement to make it easier. This is much more pronounced than it used to be.

@OVTune is this function ecu controlled?

I thought about that too. I probably only drove about 20-30 miles yesterday after install.

So how many miles does it take for the ecu to re-learn?

No idea. I recall someone in here mentioning 50 miles but take it front me with a grain of salt.

Some say 25-50 miles. I'd say it's learned by now. I've driven around today some too. Even chirped the tires on damp concrete.

My stuttering on stock ECU Map returned shortly after 50 miles from a reset.

PS: Is it bad I've been checking my USPS, UPS and Fedex accounts daily to see if a package is getting scheduled for pickup/drop off? :)
