Awesome truck. Do you have any plans for it or are you going to enjoy it stock?

    Original Thread Post:

I got the truck a couple weeks ago and have been obsessed with it ever since! I was originally in the market for an 05-09 TRD 4x4 and this popped up. I went a bit over budget but its not something that you see for sale everyday. So far I've bought small misc pieces from Toyota and changed out spark plugs and transmission filter/fluid. I took it to a local offroad area to test all of the 4x4 components and everything checked out good so far.

Thanks! I want to upgrade the suspension and rear leaf packs to get another 1" or so and eventually fit 33's. Right now I'm mainly focused on maintenance since I have no previous history. I also need to give it a good claybar and wax.

I bought wheels a long time ago and I'm in the process of restoring them, but not sure if I will actually run them or not...

I didn’t see the picture of th S2K at first. I also had one in Suzuka Blue. I eventually added the OEM front lip. Loved that car.

I went back and added it, seems like a lot of fellow tw members owned one before! That's awesome, mine is on daily driver duties since the gas mpg is way better.

Tacomas are very expensive in CA. Expensive tacomas I would imagine are even more expensive. The LM002 is also expensive. This was an attempt at humor. The point clearly missed you.

Diff fluid and transfer case service time! :)
    IMG_1488.jpg

Picked up the fluid and met up with my buddy to pick up some quads and take them to my moms. He has a build on Tw as well @jdmpnoy89 After that we went to grab a bite to eat. We've had the same interest in cars for a long time. So it was cool to get our trucks together for the first time!

Did the rear diff and transfer case service today. Going to do the front diff tomorrow I think. Anyways, rear diff magnet wasn't as bad as I thought. I decided to clean the whole axle while I was down there, and marked the plugs after I torqued them.

Completed the front diff service today, no more crawling under the truck anymore

Front diff drain plug magnet was dirtier than I had hoped, but now that the truck is mine it will get more routine maintenance!

Going to big bear in a few weeks to check out the trails up there. Just ordered a viair pump, 6 ft hose, and tire deflator valves. Should be all set after that. Still need to figure out when I can get a good coolant flush in before then

My viair pump and 1" uni filter came in today. I also got a 6ft hose extension for the pump and tire deflators the other day. Need to install the uni filter on the secondary air pump so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Headed to Big Bear to do some off-roading in a couple weeks!

Sick truck! I got the exact same one I picked up at the end of May. Just got new tires and ended up going with the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws too.

    Thank you! :)

Thanks, I love it! How do you like yours so far? The tires are cool, the oem pressure seems a bit high so I might drop it down and see if I notice a better ride

I love it! My dad has a 2015 TRD Off Road and I loved driving it so when I was looking to buy, I was only looking to get another OR, but then I came across the Pro and I couldn't pass up that deal. I bought it private sale from a mechanic at a Toyota dealership. So far I love the Wildpeaks too. My dad has KO2s on his and I was deciding between those or the Wildpeaks and I'm definitely happier with the Wildpeaks. I got the tires through a buddy of mine and got the LT rated ones and he told me to keep them at around 50 psi which I thought was a little high also.

Only good pic I have so far, but its before the new tires.

@Mongoose18 thats funny I was looking for an off-road or sport too lol. I'm going to try 35psi and see how bad it affects gas mileage
