I figure I should hear from dealer soon saying I can order an 18. I like this truck a lot and I also have same issue as most the reviews that are done on it with trying to get comfortable in seat!! So many say they have no issue getting comfortable and I am just baffled on what is the magic. I put on 650 miles a week on and I want this truck so just asking for solutions to make that lot better even if I need to spend some money.

Crappie man you never answered my question -- didn't you have a 2016, dumped it for a Colorado and now you're going back to the Tacoma?

hey OP didnt I post about seats in a thread with you? i got my seat taken care of at an upholstery shop who is experienced tweaking automotive seats. they took my miserable seat and made it super comfy for $200. simply by redoing the foam base.

it made my right leg numb almost every drive. it became almost undrivable for more than 90 minutes. $200 later is about the most comfortable seat i own and can do 6-8 straight hours of drive time no problem.

oh I am getting it for sure. now my back is fixed and neck it is ok and livable. I really like the trucks and didn't want to part with my 16. But until I got back and neck done which was a solid 6 month deal on both I had to change . St Germain might of saved me lots of $$ if id known a shop could fix them like he had done. I like the Tacoma so much better than the Colorado. Plus resale every 2 years 60k will be better also!!

The 3rd gen seat is a big upgrade to the 2nd gen seat. I had to get rid of my 2nd gen because the seat sucked so bad. No lumbar support, and you could feel the seat beam going arcross the seat. They also wore out really easy. These new seats seem like a step in the right direction. Hopefully toyota pulls its head out of its ass and gives us power seats in the future.

Depends on the year, my 08 had more comfortable seats than my 15 did even though they looked exactly the same.

There maybe some truth to that.
My 08 wasn't really an issue nor was my 2013. My 2015 was unbearable though.
It's like they decided to go even cheaper towards the end.

Yes, the fabric was not as durable and it also felt like it had less padding

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Sit on a regular cab bench for 7 years and you wouldn't complain :p
