Dont bother doing the shackle flip with those shocks. Either return them and get 12" travel rr and shock relocate, Archives relocate and 14" Kings, or keeo the ones you ordered and dont bother with the shackke flip.

To be honest, I dont see you ever doing more than green trails anyway, so a shackke flip and longer shocks are not really needed.

With your set up you'll be doing blue/blacks. We'll get a good spotter and get you through it unscathed.

Greg, you have seen his front bumper? No way I can get him through a black. He would get hung up on most blues.

I don't have a shackle flip. It's not necessary. It just gives you a little extra lift/travel. Did you get your rear shocks set up for dakars? They should be about an inch longer than the extended travel ones I think.

I know. I'm like a squirrel. I see a nut I go after it. But then I see a different one I try and get that one and so on.

custom car grill, KORE sliders, light bar, KORE bed bars w/ tire and high lift mount. MOBTOWN front IFS skid.
Can someone explain what the yellow wire mod does, I'm reading up on it but some firsthand experience would be greatly appreciated.

As I understand it, my sr5 has Trac in 4 hi, but that's off in 4 lo, cutting that wire makes the truck think it's still in 4 hi, and leaves Trac enabled. Poor man's locker? Applies the breaks to spinning wheels to get motion to the wheels with traction. I may have to review a bit to get this in action.

You mean aside from stock bumps? or none at all? How are you keeping the shocks from bottoming out?

None at all. 14" shocks, dakars with shackle flip only have 12" travel

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Supposedly but I have done it and it doesn't work as advertised. Nothing like lockers

I've seen it work in sand but I imagine the torque required in rocks is a whole different ball game.

I had to put a hydraulic jack between my frame and the leafs to push the axle low enough to get my shocks on. Another two inches might not have been manageable

I had to do something similar when installing my rear lift. Just couldn't get the shackle to line up otherwise. Worked great!

With your truck equipped how it is, def after the coils and shit you gotta run some blues with me in TN I never did them before till this weekend and was completely fine. Plus I'm sure we'll have a very good spotter in our group somewhere. Once you get through the first one your confidence in yourself and the truck will go way up.

I just want to get my toes wet then go up from there. I'll do blues. But gotta work up to it. Just have the vision of the first time out. But that's with the bumper sagging. So hope this fixes it. And I'm sure it will.
