I valved my SAWs at 12/10 and they are pretty good at high speed stuff. Street feels very stiff unless I add weight in the back.

And I ordered my rear LT. :anonymous: Dmz sua with their bolt in bed cage and some 2.5 triple bypasses from dsm. They say 15/10 valving with the weight of the plate bumper and spare on the tire gate.

It all really depends on how you drive, what terrain, how plush you want it. I've seen anywhere from 10-15 on compression with leafs, same trucks just different drivers. Shit on matt(lemowskis) truck we had to do 20's on comp to keep it from bottoming out, granted he was caged so more weight

4x4 long travel axle question. I'm starting from scratch doing the prerunner to 4x4 conversion with TC 3.5 arms. What CVs, axles and boots do I need to buy? Can I buy Tundra axles from the wrecking yard and bolt in?

That only works for gen 1

You need oem cv axles then swap the shafts

Use a high angle inner boot that @SDHQ OFFROAD sells

Yep. OEM CVs from junkyard or brand new and shafts from TC.

Besides spending the coin on the TC extended axles can I use Vadozone or similar Tundra axles? What year Tundra, same?

Tundra axles only works on first gens.
Your only choice is aftermarket shafts (TC, All Pro, etc.)

I think that will be the largest one cost of the entire conversion.

I bought my cv axles from napa (reman)
    The top is the napa

It looks like a oem Reman to me ? Unlike the vatozone

The boot tore after the first trip out though lolIMG_5285.jpg IMG_5263.jpg

Probably a silly question, but with LT, do you guys still air down at all when off road? And yes I know you still would for a dunes trip, but for general desert running do you?

I ask because when I was only mid travel I would sonit all the time to help soak up little chatter bumps and what not by allowing the tire to just deflect over the little objects. But a few years ago my cousin brought a friend to our annual riding trip to ocotillo with his full blown race truck and he was airing up his tires to like 40psi. Logic was with 20"+ of travel on all 4 corners when he hits something at 80mph he doesn't want the tire to deflect and possibly blow the bead.

I still do. Helps will all the little annoying bumps. Then the big shit gets absorbed by the suspension.

I can see what you're buddy is saying though. But im not hitting 80mph on stuff with huge bumps. So whatever.

Yeah he is in an ibeam full tube chassis actual race truck so he is hitting stuff way faster than most of us.

So what do you go down to normally?

well i won't lie, i don't do your normal desert stuff. i do a lot of rock stuff but end up on dirt roads full of everything adn like to go as fast as possible. Im on 35x12.5r15s MTRks and i run them at 10psi indicated on my ARB deflator which is really about 13-14psi

Depends. Quick getaway of less than an hour of trailing I don't bother unless it's very sandy. Few hours of trailing or chasing a race, I'll air down to anywhere from 25 PSI to 10 PSI depending on the terrain. On the trophy truck I usually set them at 28-25 PSI respectively and could probably run more if I wanted to but it felt like it wanted to wander at 80-95 MPH so it was suggested to run a different ratio steering servo.
