I'm sure I have one but it'd cost more to come get it and bring it back than to buy one.

Do not buy tools from sears, times have changed.
Harbor Freight tools are lifetime warranty. I broke a 10+ year old impact socket and they gave me another.

I've got a harbor freight one you could borrow... It didn't break when I used it.

Thanks Jim but I'm just going to buy one tomorrow. There is a horror freight just down the road from our shop. Now that I'm out of BFE I can do things again.

I guess I should pay more attention to that. I've broke a spring compressor I got from them in about 20 minutes. I threw it a way.

31s (265/75/16) will fit stock suspension, but if you are worried about being able to put chains on, 245/75/16, 265/70/17 are both factory size and the same set of chains should fit both. I have go e through plenty of snow and ice when I had a Tacoma, but never used chains or studded tires, not even in Spokane snow and ice.

Go to Napa and save the receipt. The basic torx variety kit does no have the right size unless you get a larger size type set.

Edit: just did some looking and the but I am pretty cert you want is a T55 torx, obviously on a socket. You should be able to get a stout one from Napa on 1/2" drive. If you don't specify, they will likely give you one on 3/8 drive.
Harbor Freight has a set part number 61246 that is 1/2 drive, and has t55 in it. Sale price is $11.99

This is the way to do it, but if you buy one bit, you should be able to have it for $10 or less.
