Holy Crap, anyone see the Indians - Red Sox game?

Since my Royals have learned how to suck again, and I'm still laid up, I switched over to the Indians - Red Sox. You know, you have to like your chances when you are facing Chris Sale and you score 7 runs. But, the Sox came all the way back and took the lead, then watched their closer give up the lead, then come up in bottom of the ninth and get a walk off 3 run HR. Even weirder was the Indians had the 3rd out but it was a wild pitch and Moreland runs to first. Vasquez then hits the walk off.

Thanks again Sox, Royals managed 2 of 3 against you but really didn't deserve it the way we played and now we just looked pathetic 2 games in a row in Baltimore. But . . . we are still just 2 games back in the AL Central

 

Watched the Giants-Doyers match-up on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Who the fuq is that jabbering chick in the booth? Jessica something or other? Holy crap, so annoying. She must love to her herself talk. Two in the booth is plenty. Hell, one is really plenty. Never again will I watch a baseball game on ESPN if I have to hear that shit.

My wife is the same. These idiots think they are going to draw women into the sport by having a chick in the both. The only Chick I want in the booth is Chick Hern. Granted, he was a Lakers basketball guy, but so what. Now there was a broadcaster. Jon Miller. Vin Scully. Bill King. Russ Hodges. Mel Allen, etc...

Hmmh, since attempting to shore up the pitching with 3 of the better Padres' arms and Melky Cabrera for his utility and bat, KC has now gone 2-6.

But we are STILL just 2 1/2 back in the AL Central . . .

History lesson, after attempting to shore up the pitching with Johnny Cueto and Ben Zobrist for his utility and bat in 2015, the Royals were 1 1/2 back of Cleveland but lost 5 of their next 7. Then they started winning . . . and that worked out pretty good!

Now, honestly, I'm not feeling that good about things but just sayin . . .

See, I told you the Angels were going to be OK way back even when my Royals took 3 of 4 or whatever it was? You had like 1/2 the team on the DL then and were still right at .500. Given our up/down streakiness, I even predict it will probably be my Royals that you end up knocking out of the wild card race. What 46 games left? We tend to go on 11-12 game streaks and it appears after losing 9 of 11 and 5 straight since we made the big trades of which only Melky Cabrera is actually working out, we just took 2 of 3 from the White Sox who still suck but are playing much better [hey, they just swept the Astros and had won 5 straight], we are likely on another one of our 11-12 game winning streaks, following by a losing streak, followed by a winning streak . . .
following by a losing streak the last two weeks at the very end! [my head hurts]

This season has been beyond nuts! But they are still in it. A lot of teams are not!

Since Salvy is on the DL, Cam Gallagher, our 3rd string catcher got his 1st HR in the majors tonight and it was a grand slam during the Sonic Slam Inning.

Some guy won $25,000 . . . first time in like 20 years!

Just saw something I've never seen before, an injury game delay for an umpire. In the LAA/BAL game, home plate umpire Tim Hallion was hit in the face mask by a foul tip, had to leave the game and was replaced by the 2nd base ump. Now they're running with a 3-man crew.

Critical series for my Royals against the Indians and they've already lost the first 2 games by a combined score of 15-1. Now, the Indians are really hitting on all cylinders and I can easily see them in the World Series again but, even worse, since we brought in the 3 Padres to shore up "our pitching problems" our bullpen that by the end of July actually had their ERA down to 2.00 now has it back to 7.00. Alex Gordon still cannot hit and is battling with our "Designated Hitter", Brandon Moss, for the lowest batting average on the team and which one can stay above .200? And, the Royals have gone this month from having the 2nd wild card spot [temporarily] to clear to the bottom of the list. Still technically doable but you just get too many teams you have to pass.

We are getting Salvador Perez back soon but he can't carry the team . . . or can he?

After picking up Darvish, nice to see the Dodgers pick up Granderson too. They were down on talent . . .
