UCAs aren't hard. The only hard part is getting the bolt out, which requires bending sheet metal. I say fuck that noise. If I ever need to install UCAs, I'm going to have new bolts on hand and cut out the old ones with a sawzall, and reinstall the new bolts backwards with red loctite on it. Just a tip.

It'll save you a hell of a lot of headache. Plus bending the sheet metal weakens it, and one member mentioned that that area in his truck is starting to deform from driving so hard in the desert. Anyways, aside from getting the bolt out, the rest seems super straight forward even though I haven't personally done UCAs.

yea ima deff get a new bolt. cut the end off and be able pull it out and replace sounds much easier than bending the metal

I'm new to the Tacoma club, but I thought I would post some before and after pictures. I purchased the Bilstein 5100 lift kit (HS05BK-1) from Headstrong for my 2013 TRD Sport. It came with the OME 885 front coil springs and HS 3-Leaf add a leaf for the rear and the 1/4' spacer for the drivers side lean. I opted to have them assemble the front struts. I highly recommend Headstrong. I have never owned a lifted vehicle, much less had a lift installed so being able to discuss with them what I had and what my goals were helped out in the selection of the lift package I chose.

I think the ride is great, but I don't have a lot to compare it to. It definitely rides better than before the lift. Overall I'm super pleased with how it turned out.

The 275 do not rub at all with the setup I have on mine. That's the first thing I checked.

the specs of your rims back spacing and offset also have a lot to do with rubbing.
i believe 4.5 backspacing will help with that, but im no expert on that subject. all i know is my tires dont rub after i put LR UCAs on

It'd be a pain in the butt. You'd have to disassemble the leafs and get a new centering pin to put them back together.

Why would I need a new center pin? Would the old one not be long enough?

Whenever an AAL is installed, you get a new super long centering pin, and it has to be cut down. I always cut mine right above the nut (underneath the bumpstop) so there's no room for an extra leaf. Centering pins are cheap, so that's not a big deal. It's the whole disassembling thing.
