They have to send a report and pictures to Toyota corp. Then Toyota corp sends the frame. Info from the dealer that my truck is parked at.

You should get your inspection done soon. Frame replacement time I don't know but they should give you a rental for the time you wait for your frame replacement.

What do you do when the entire frame is covered with scaling rust--but no hole yet (in 2 years 75% of the entire frame will have 300 holes) can't get your spare down, can't change rear end oil without replacing the rear end, your cross member nuts are rusted 75% away. Guys--better check those transmission bolts!!! I love my 06 with 79,000 cared for miles that should be good for 10+ more years but the frame will kill it right after the campaign ends--Damn you Toyota!!!!!!!!

I received the approval for the frame from Toyota. My service manager said that they can't order parts yet until Toyota green lights the whole deal. I think inspections are happening now, but not much else. I'll see what I can find out and dig deeper when I get a chance.

My inspection was last Wednesday and I just got the answer today. My service manager told me that he had to send the pictures a second time because for whatever reason, it didn't work the first time.

Now I wait. I'm going to find out what number I have to call for reimbursements because I did just replace all the brake lines from the cab to the axle and I'm also going to try and get reimbursed for the frame patch work that I had done. I had the frame inspected before I bought it and it failed then so I had it patched. A brake line started leaking two weeks later. The way I see it, I wouldn't have had to shell out the $900+ for that work if the frame would've been getting replaced the first time. I'll update here when I talk to someone at Toyota

Was told will be weeks to months for frame to come in will be kept in loaner whole time. 175000 miles original owner not offered any buyback just frame replacement

Then it is covered by the just settled Brain Warner v. Toyota class action suit in which there is no buyback option for the original or any owner.

Just curious, what state are you in? Toyota seems to be targeting the rust bucket states first...

Thank you. The class action website is useless as to what is going on, and any court records I can find still indicate the appeals are active. It appears that Toyota may have just thrown in the towel and moved forward with the campaign in a manner that satisfies the appeals and gets the ball rolling.

I am sort building a list/database as to where they have been approving replacements, and as I said above it appears the so-called "cold-climate" states are the first being notified. Our local (Saint Augustine, FL) dealer has not yet received any notification of the class action suit settlement campaign...
