It's easy to install and lift up again to push out any bubbles.

What also would look really clean, is if you put the lights at the back of the box inside where that ridge is. You wouldn't be able to even see the led strip.

Considered that but the lock mechanism and the seal were issues. Worked out fine for me being in the recessed area.

A couple things to beware of:

When you lift on the top layer (2:00 in video), it's easy to break the tabs that lock downward. I broke a couple and now it doesn't sit all the way down. Can't really tell from looking at it though.

Further, there is a metal clip that he shows just before 3:00. What he doesn't tell you, is that the plastic tab that presses into the metal clip breaks really easily. Even worse, the black plastic caps (I replaced mine, didn't derp) have a super flimsy black tab and mine bent in two directions. The metal clip is too strong for them, or at least I couldn't avoid bending them both. Pain in the ass. Luckily the pop-out tabs hold the caps in place well.

Thanks for confirming. I must have missed the post your talking about. I'll figure something out that looks good. So far in 10 months I havent had scratches and regualrly have my interior covered in dust so I'm in no rush. I also always have a microfiber cloth and lense/screen cleaner.

The Hondo knobs are a smaller diameter but taller. It would fit over without any issues but the knob opening would be quite a bit larger.

Streamlight or Olight. I have used steamlights for years and they work great and recently bought a couple Olights and they're great as well.

Sorry, that was a typo, it was more like a 1,000 pages, not 100...

For those who don't want to mess with wiring etc.
I have two of these mounted with supplied 3m tape on either side of my be just unde the rail. They are water proof sealed.
I have had them for over a year now. Same batteries. Great LED lights.

:rofl:NP man. I wont look back 100 pgs let alone 1k pgs. That pic with the stock knobs was enough for me. I keep up with this thread but my memory is pretty bad so I may have seen it, realized I couldnt handle the look and then forgot all about it since it wasnt an option since I would probably go crazy and rip it off.

Fenix LD22 https://www.fenix-store.com/fenix-ld22-g2-led-flashlight-2015-edt/ . Been carrying it on my belt five days a week for about five years. Uses AA's, and I can't count the number of times it's been dropped from the top of my ladder to the floor. If it ever breaks, I'll probably look into something that's USB rechargeable.
