New Truck should I worry

I just bought a new 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. My brother asked if he can test drive it. I said yes but kindly told him not to revved it too high. He has a heavy foot. So he gets in drives it then going up my street he just gunned it I can hear my engine scream.
I know about the break in period no high revving until 1000 miles. I only have 156 miles on it should I worry? You guys think he just shortened the life of my engine?

 

I highly doubt that one instance shortened the engines life span. It's reoccurring instance during the break in period that you should question. In my opinion your fine. Enjoy your new rig!

 

I have a 04 Tacoma......I left the dealership burning damn rubber the day I bought it new..........13 years later.....I still bark the tires.....no worries

Pretty sure you're going to need a new set of piston rings now...

Hahaha this thread makes me laugh. I drove mine like I stole it straight from the dealership, just like i do every new car. Never had an issue. Your truck is perfectly fine, but I wouldn't let that brother drive it anymore if he won't respect what you ask him to do.

 

I would never let him in one of my vehicles again.

Don’t even sweat it. I’m sure he Technician that performed the PDI did this for you.

Doesn't everyone punch it on a test drive anyway? It's a Toyota and a Tacoma, it will be alright. Enjoy your new truck!

Engines are broken in already. It's mainly a warranty thing.

 

Thanks guys! I'm so glad I bought a Tacoma not only it's a great truck but so far my experience in this forum has been awesome. There so many great people here this is by far the best forum I have ever joined.
By the way you guys comments on this thread really made me laugh, I was having a really bad day today and you guys just put a smile on my face.

 

I've driven my shit like I stole it since day 1. Haven't burned a drop of oil and I've had no issues.
