Ok, now that I've caught up...

@Chaderino - BOOTS!! You need boots. Pointy toe, square toe, Ropers, riding heel, Dan Post, Ariat, Danners, Docs, or el cheapo Boot Barn (formerly Sheplers) specials - don't matter. Acquire, and rock them "bishes."

Go to Cavenders or Boot City, get properly sized, and then buy them over the Interwebs. Cheaper.

One of my favorite pair is these: http://www.sheplers.com/laredo-long...e/038852.html?dwvar_038852_color=7018#start=2
They're like the boot version of a mullet. All business down below, but without the huge shank to sweat in. Zip up, comfy, look good, shine well, easy-peasy. Can wear with dress clothes or jeans. No shorts, violation of man-law #124*

And you "say" you're born and raised here. Pfft.

    * ML124: "No straight man may wear boots with shorts unless taking a midnight piss while camping in snake country."

Those look very similar to a pair I have; mine are just a bit lighter in color than the brown version in that link. Great boots, on the rare occasion I wear something other than sandals. My wife still gives me a hard time for mispronouncing the name; there is no "cheese" in the company's name...
