I wouldn't do it any more without sliders at least.

I don't think I'd do Red Cone without sliders.

By "any more" I meant that it seems to get just a bit more rutted out every year.

That is good advice. I mean you could do it without sliders but all your lines would need to be damn near perfect. Or have a set of stock steps you don't give a shit about.

Just getting sliders will open up a whole lot more stuff you can run without body damage.
33s adds another level. Then armor.

Planning on hiking Mt. Sherman this weekend with the wife. Wondering if there's any good off road trails nearby that you recommend with some good camping? Gonna go up on Saturday, explore with the truck and do Mt. Sherman on Sunday morning.

you can access breakneck pass from Sherman...there is an off shoot that bring you below a horseshoe shaped bowl and continues over to the pass...then work your way over to Weston pass which brings you over to the Leadville side if you wanted to.

been a while since I did that Sherman exploring though...no idea how I ended up at breakneck really haha

salt creek is further down by rt 24 which has some cool areas to explore and camp

I was thinking of trying to tag along this weekend, but it looks like it will be a little while before I can get out.

Just moved to CO a couple weeks ago and ready to do some trails (once I figure out what the hell is making a thumping noise every time I go over a small bump:frusty:). I currently have the OR with sliders and duratracs and hopefully a lift in the near future.
