That's the essence of a cafe racer. Take all the shit that's comfortable and adds weight off of it and then wring the shit outta it. All in an effort
    to "ton up!"

So, I took a big risk today.......and clicked on one of those ads on a website. Turns out, it was a legit website!

That being said, anyone ever hear of the "NUVIZ" heads-up display?
    https://www.ridenuviz.com/

I figured it was only a matter of time before someone took the GoPro, Sena, and the [failed] Skully HUD, and combine them into one product. Looks a bit bulky, but might be worth looking into.

I just got back from Cuba and got to ride a two wheeled death trap. But the two wheeled brotherhood exists even with language barriers. Was glad I got ride, even if it was for a block, while I was there. It was a clapppppped out Suzuki something. 125cc. Was way newer than most of the bikes on the roads, which were mostly buzzy, smokey two strokes from the 60s-80s. The air was permeated with diesel and rich fuel mixtures, and burning oil.

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
So I checked this out and I have two things I see to be possible issues. The first is how this is attached to the helmet. They state they provide an adhesive for the purpose of attachment. Not sure how well that will hold up or how much I trust it for my $700 HUD. The second issue I thought of would be the quality/durability/longevity of the lens itself. Since it mounts on the outside of the helmet it is exposed to the elements. Wind, dirt, rain, rocks, bugs etc all rain havoc on our shield so I can imagine what it can do to the lens itself. I did not see where they offer a replacement for the lens. Just my thoughts...

I was also curious about the mounting solutions they offered, but I didn't think about the exposed lens.

I also just thought of a 3rd issue: this can really only be used with stationary full-face helmets. It'll work half of the time for modulars, and none of the time for half-helmets/Skid Lids.

I'm going to guess they are using a 3M VHB double stick tape or similar. 3M VHB is rated to 100+ MPH, it's what GoPro uses on their mounts, and is very solid. As far as the lens, I'm also going to guess it's similar to a GoPro or other action camera that has a durable lens.

Looks too bulky and $700 is a little crazy price for me personally though.

Neat concept if you're into tech and gadgets. Not really my bag. One of the reasons I ride is to get back to basics. I don't really want to be connected to Bluetooth so people can call me and, don't want to know when a text or e-mail comes through. I don't think that listening to music is really a great idea and I kinda like getting lost once in a while.

In short, I ride to disconnect and don't need to plug into our already too busy and too intrusive world while on the bike.

 I still havent listed mine. I will probably ask $8k with all my aftermarket stuff, and the stock stuff. And I still have 1.5 years of warranty left too..

That will give me a good down payment on the $12k 48. I need to think about what color Id want too
