The sauce is what makes good pulled pork.

Got a family recipe, but the recipe is a secret. Haha. If my grandma makes any in the near future I'll grab some for you. She makes it and has so much she stores it in the bulk ketchup and mustard jugs (about 10-15 to be exact). Use it mainly on pulled pork.

That would be great! I got my rub recipe down pretty good, but the Pit Faced rub is better. Next step is to get the sauce recipe down.

Nuthin' yet. Likely won't be either. There is a very, very, slim chance I will be moving to Lake Tahoe....then again my wife works mostly on VC Summer and Vogtle, and if you guys haven't heard, they've stopped work on units 2 and 3, and Vogtle may be next. I hope she still has work, but it's fragile right now.

At the Festival of Discovery this year we tried a lot of different BBQ, some with sauce and some without, just for variety. It was all just plain good, there was nothing that I didn't like. I'm thinking of starting with water, tomato paste, vinegar and/or apple cider vinegar, sugar, molasses or brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and paprika for the base, boil it, simmer it, then start tweaking from there.
