But seriously, didn't notice any cracks when we were trying to bend them straight, will have to crawl under and have another look

 

mine were like this back in 2009 but a lot worse, all we did was grind the cracks and added some fat welds. Haven't had a problem since. I'll post pics in a bit when I find them.

Hate to say it, but I got my passenger CV just like that at the moment while I wait for a fresh CV to come in to convert over.

 

Do you have these cracks in the cab yet?

nothing wrong with that! I carry a inner stub for trail fix purposes in case of broken CV.

What year is yours again? Those look bad. When did you notice those? And those are off the C pillar right?

 

2008, noticed a few years ago after someone else mentioned having the same cracks.

 

Definitely do, it's your 3-wheel drive kit.

Of just keep a whole spare CV axle ready to go.

 

@Whitecloud you should probably check your transmission cross member for cracks since you would have the original style that was not fully welded and boxed. Mine was stupid with the cracks all the way around at both ends. The newer revised cross member has full welds and much improved.

 

I'll have to look. Mine's an '06 and looks like I'm a bit behind on that. Looks like I might have some work to do.
