    I would assume, since he did say that "scars are going for a good price" that he may have paid less for his gun than they are new now. and maybe his total for what he has in it is a good bit less than what someone could go and put one together for today. just a thought though, I don't know the guy; well I mean he has been to my house and shot guns and ate sammiches, but other than that you know, and we are in Alabama so there is a good chance we are related I guess

    I was just asking, because typically that is not something that you would just come right out and say, you would just put a price out there and it is what it is! Just saying! Nice gun either way

    It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    i wasnt trying to sell it to one of you, i was really just asking if any of you who probably keep up with the market and gun forums more than me knew if the prices were still high. i believe for a while you couldnt find a new one, and people were paying a good bit over msrp. this was probably back during the hillary scare though, so demand has probably fallen since trump won.

    Well today I started my first AR build. I've always been an AK guy, but have wanted to see what the hype is all about with AR. What I've learned so far, there's a crap ton of parts that go into an AR. I'm just going to slowly amass parts when I find deals on them.

    Meh, thats old school. You should look at the Ruger 10/22 takedown.

    This is out of the box.

    [IMG]

    This is what they can look like when you "accesorize", I love this rifle. So much fun to shoot, and cheap.

    I had one of these it is not that bad of a SHTF / Bug out weapon. But some of the things I did not like were:
    * Charging handle placement.
    * Front site.
    * Overall the weapon did not feel solid enough.

    For a 9MM "long gun" I like my CZ Scorpion EVO S1 Carbine much more.

    Ordered. :bananadance:

    I've been looking at one as a replacement for my current truck gun, in this exact setup (9mm for G19 mags). Since my EDC is a 9mm 99% of the time I figure I should have a truck gun that takes the same ammo to keep to the KISS code. The reviews that I've read have been mostly positive, and I've already got a squillion G19 mags and cases of 9mm kicking around anyway, so it'll be no problem to equip it.

    And besides, the going rate for these things used around here seems to be in the neighborhood of $450, so if I end up not liking it I can unload it without too much problem without taking a hit. :notsure:

    It just seems like a much better rifle from the review.

    I figure by time I'm done with my 10/22, I'll have more then $300 into accessories alone.
