It makes me so happy to see all these tacos running this size. It fits so well on the stock height.

Those are solid. I'm trying to get the wife to let me trade this in on a panigale eventually. Idk if I'd even have the stones to track it though is the problem lol. May have to buy an old cbr or r6 for that and ride the pretty Italian to work haha

Lmao 3 Ducati broke down on my last track day. I'm in for reliability, and japs have that shit cornered. My next bike will most certainly be a aprilia tuono:D and this one will be a full track only bike.

The maxx should be fairly good. Has decent siping unlike most mud tires.

In the wet they're great, and I haven't had a chance to test in the snow. I've read that they're awesome though.

For those of you (like me) who are interested in more AT options for 255/85R16s please got here and request that size from Treadwirght in their Warden tread pattern...if they get enough maybe they will start making them...:)

Don't know if you're aware, but treadwright tires are retreads, so proceed with caution.

I'm very aware, been using them for years, thanks. I'm aware of that story as well but people get millions of trouble free miles on retreads every year.

Just to be balanced and fair:

No sweat off my back! There are just some things I don't cheap out on, and the thing that literally connects my vehicle to the road and controls my safety is one of those things.

I understand...some folks are safety safety safety...people are separated from their money in the name of "safety" everyday and it's created an expensive bubble wrapped society. Me, I'll look at the statistics and make my choices as opposed to focusing on anecdotes...numbers don't lie.

You do of course realize that your lifted truck is SIGNIFICANTLY less safe than a factory height truck right? You have raised your roll-over risk by leaps and bounds, especially at HWY speeds. You have most certainly compromised your safety for Off-road ability (or simply looks?). And not only did you NOT save money on that choice, you SPENT money to make your truck much less safe. It's all about perspective. :D

If you're happy with your choices, that's all that matters

Don't have experience with the Maxx tires, but we had M55's for a bit on some work trucks and were not impressed with their performance on snow. Switched to Duratracs and haven't gone back. my 2c

Of course I know Duratracs do not come in this size, so I think if you want that "snowflake" rating, the M55's are the only ones

On an aside. Anyone running 8" wide wheels with this size? I know the tire will fit, but just curious how it turns out.

Here's mine on some 255/85/16s that I'm running for a wheeling trip. No rubbing anywhere but not stock suspension though. 2.25" lift up front and 2.0" in the back. Icon stage 1.
