Engine already broken in during the factory. Plus to properly break an engine in you want to have the short intervals of high pressures to help set the rings. Driving at lower pressure or throttle will actually prevent the rings from seating.

I negotiated the hell out of my dealership to pick up a good price on a Taco with the right specs, then I surprised last minute and told them they didn't have my exact specs on their lot but another dealership near by had the one I wanted. They were annoyed, but went with my deal anyways. I'm pretty sure the store manager told the porter to drive my Taco back like an asshole. No issues here.

You are fine there. Keep you your brother out of your driver's seat unless he is paying for the truck.

Ask your brother what the capital of Thailand is and then proceed accordingly.

sounds like you might need to borrow his vehicle and see what
the 0 to 60 time is with his parking brakes on.

100% agree on first statement. In fact there are those who argue hard breakin is better for the engine anyway. My thoughts as to why it says to take it easy for first 1000 miles is legal issues. No manual will tell you to do redline runs after leaving the dealer to get the most out of your new engine. It would be a legal nightmare for manufacturers as soon as the first crash occurred.
