    Sorry about that, looks like I misunderstood. I don't have any clearance problems with my spare either, but did have to hammer back the tabs.
    I haven't had any problems with it off-road yet. Would love a bumper that I can hang it off of but that is a future expense. I do discover that it needs a bit of tightening occasionally though.
    I make way too much use of my bed to put it back there, and I am paranoid about putting it in a roof basket.
