I'd say, minus the strap tie down on the 65, and his gasket not sealing, nothing is really happening that I would consider bad or screwed up

Damn.. I ordered a 65. It shipped a few days ago. Really bummed to hear about the gaskets and strap slots.

Debating now... I don't necessarily want the 85qt cooler. That's fricken huge. So I can spend $200 and get the 85qt and potentially risk the gasket, or spend $240 and get an RTIC with a much longer warranty and have the 65 qt size that I want WITH the slots.. :pccoffee: Considering it will be living in the bed of my truck when I camp and wheel those slots are important.

Don't let this take away from your efforts @TacoTRD78, I really do appreciate it. Just weighing my options. :D:fistbump:

Got my 65 today. No complaints. Didn't put any ice in it yet but rinsed it out and the drain plug doesn't leak. I'm happy except for the weight. Reminds me why I haven't bought one of these fancy coolers until now...:)

Earlier this summer I got an ozark trail, just ordered the bigger one. For the money when compared to all these others, I feel like I did ok. Only used it once so far, but every time I opened it, I could feel cool air come out. All it had for "ice" was a cereal size Rubbermaid container that I froze for a few days and each day dumped out water and topped off with cubes. I plan to make the smaller one our drink cooler and the big the food and will probably use two of the Rubbermaids.

Meh. I did look at Orca.. But $300 for a 58qt is $140 more than what I originally looked at spending and It's a bit smaller. and the 75qt is $400o_O Definitely have some cool designs but at that point I feel it's too far from the original price point I'm trying to stay at.

I looked at the Ozark. Didn't see any slots to put ratchet straps. Can you confirm this for me?

I'll look at the one I have later, but I don't think they do. Do you really think you need the slots? I just strap my coolers down and the seem to stay, but I'm not wheeling.

    Thanks!

Yeah I'm 75% sure I'll need 'em. Majority of the time that I'd actually need the cooler I'd be wheeling. And if I'm gonna spend $200+ on a cooler I want to be sure it has what I might need.

Kinda the saying I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
