I know you don't have a Mac but if you should ever decide to get one Final Cut Pro is about the best you can get and easy to use. Adobe Premiere Pro is great also but a steeper learning curve. Like I mentioned before I use it mostly for the Warp Stabilizer when doing Hyperlapse but I switch programs often since I also use Lightroom to develop all my pictures with my DSLR

This video took me maybe 30 mins to put together with Final Cut Pro and render the video. Again not drone footage but you get the idea of how easy it is to use.

What app do I download for the mavic? Is it DJI Go?

I read the recent reviews and it seems the newest update is causing a lot of issues between mavic and spark owners

DJI Go or DJI Go 4. I've used both since I have an Osmo also and the regular DJI Go app will support the Osmo and Mavic. The DJI Go 4 app won't. Since you are just getting a Mavic then DJI Go 4 will be the one you want.

Sport mode is good if you're caught in high ridge winds and really need to get the bird home. Just say'n...

I've been lucky and so far haven't encountered a situation like that. Not saying I'd never use Sport Mode but under normal conditions I have no use for it.

Yeah. Well, that and if you're trying to film a faster object, or to get the bird home faster since it's a mile out...

I use sport mode to film a boat driving down the lake. As long as I panned the camera down a little, to keep the propellers out of view, the video turned out fine.

I can see where it would come in handy for shots like that. Since most of my videos are nature shots I "personally" have no use for sport mode. Some people do otherwise they wouldn't have included it with the package. I'm not saying "don't fly in sport mode". I just don't use it as I've yet to find a situation that I needed or wanted to use it. I much prefer "tripod" mode or "point of interest" but that's just how "I" like to fly.

F*n A! I just found a hack to make my Galaxy Gear Googles + Note 4 work first person with my Mavic Pro. That just made my day. Now I just have to wipe the dust off them and get to work.

Anyone have bag recommendations for the Mavic? The one it came with is garbage and can't hold anything.

You can edit video on a PC as well as a MAC if your hardware is up to date. I have a lowly Windows 7 PC crawling with only three monitors. It is held back with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB primary SD drive and a 3TB backup hard drive. I use Corel Video Studio to edit my videos. It works pretty well on my basic setup.

It's barely enough for me to get by but for some reason it seems to work.

    Leg extensions. Good call

Some of the places I took off from in Colorado I could have used leg extensions.

Told ya lol. The bag is complete shit that won't hold anything. You can pick up any type of case you want off of Amazon for cheap much like the one that was posted. All my gear fits into my DSLR bag but it's a rather large bag.

No the Mavic can't. But... what it can do is keep the camera straight and level instead of getting shots that don't keep anything in frame ;)

    Good flying skills though.
