I vote long term storage. It will be so fulfilling to finish this even if it takes 20 years

@45acp ^^^I agree with this statement. Sad to see it go and really wish I could swing the purchase right now. At least that way it would still be in a TW members hands.

Gotta take into account storage fees that add up. Even at $50 a month, that's $3600 over 6 years. Also one of the main reasons I decided to abort rather than store, was that I have to take into account not only the remaining costs of finishing the build (probably close to $20k), but also the fact that I would need a trailer and tow rig. Tack on another $20k. At least. :bananadead:

    Whole motor build. Interior build.

    Which doesn't seem like a lot..but it's A LOT.

The relatively easy, but definitely expensive parts are still left. The vast majority of fitment and fabrication is done. If it was built the way I wanted, the engine would get another $6k or so. Bottom end still needs to be built, needs manifolds, and the Borg Warner EFR 7163 is ~$2k alone. Still needs an ECU and modifications to the A340F to make it hold up to the HP. All the wiring and plumbing still needs to be done, axles are essentially empty, triple bypass shocks, wheels and tires, hydro assist, seats, comms, etc...

So in other words, not much?

For some reason I had thought you were a lot further along.

Hopefully someone in the TW family snags this build!

The difficult phase is essentially complete. Now comes the expensive phase.

What if you keep it and just slow down the pace and not go big for a while, for example just put a stock motor in, seats you get for next to nothing here vs. good aftermarket seats, etc.

I kept my 'project car' through college and through the dry spells of super low income, now I'm finally at a spot where I can do it right.
