haha definitely wasn't planning on quitting. theres just too much enjoyment from watching smoke come out of a can and drinking a beer.

I love just pulling out the chair, having a drink and bs'n with friends while the smoker fills the air with deliciousness.

I pulled out a venison tri tip from the freezer last night. Pretty sure I'm going to try my hand at smoking jerky for the first time on Sunday. Pretty excited.

The best is starting the smoker and your homebrew day at the same time!

And after I'm all wrapped up with the homebrew its time for meat! I think I'm going have a free day this weekend finally to do this.

Not a smoker, but I scored this electric grill today. New $1400, I got it almost new for $300. Friends in a condo are not allowed to use it anymore. This thing is built like a tank. Will not replace real charcoal or even the gas grill, but will come in handy on a week night to quickly throw dinner together. IMG_0881.jpg

New to the smoking world...My wife just bought me a Masterbuild propane smoker 30" I think. I'm taking it camping for the week up in Maine and I want to try it out. Can someone give me any tips or something easy and simple to try smoking. I've been googling all week and I figured TW members must smoke...hell if we all love our trucks them we must love to eat good smoked food. I was thinking on trying a 2lb rump roast? all input would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks

Danomite is right. Easy, and makes a ton of food.

    Those are nice for monitoring
But I would recommend getting a simple probe as well cuz easier to use in multiple spots quickly
