I bought it used with 30k on it, I'm thinking the previous owner drove it into a lake. :-/

That's not impossible.

But you should be able to get a bit better mpg's. Especially with a camper top.
I do know there's little to no mpg difference between our 2.7 and the v6 engines. Only gains are tq and hp

The manual transmission gives it the best mpg. It's supposed to get 19 city and 25 highway, with an average of 21. I'd be happy with 19. I'm going to pull the plugs this weekend, they might tell the story.

Well, they are supposed to be good for 100k. I checked them when first got the truck, along with switching gear oils to synthetic, cleaning the maf and throttle body.
I bought a new set of plugs a year ago.

You do haul loads often, might need checked more reglar
