Its all good man, when I was interning I had like two tasks a week. It def helps you familiarize your options of net surfing. Atleast you are interning and getting the experience though, although I know its free, some companies still don't have the capabilities to take on free workers.

Oh I was under the impression he was in college doing a summer intern thing. Even better if he is getting experience before college, that's serious self motivation man. I didn't care to promote shit about myself until after sophomore year of college...even then I was taking constant summer classes as it was.

I agree 100%. I am already distinguishing myself by being the youngest in the office by Four years. in addition interns aren't supposed to come in on fridays but i'm here. I i am more then happy to work for free at this company they have high end clients, like toyota. down the road this on my resume will help me land a good job.

Dude, seriously I applaud your efforts. Whats great is folks that are four years older than you will eventually learn what you are already learning about now. To confidently put your experience on a resume and to know the real hype at a young age is worth its weight and then some. Props to you man! If you keep up this persistence, you will def outshine others much earlier than you think.

the thing is that everyone these days has good grades and does extra circulars. you have to do things that show that you are sticking out from the pack. That's what colleges are looking for, my grades are not the best but i do have a pretty diverse job history from working construction to sales and now corporate experience. don't mean to seem like i'm tooting my own horn but its true. if you have kids you should push them to explore new and different things. to diversify there life

Appreciate your perspective here, Im no where near having kids yet, but def some sound advice from the real front. With that being said, any thoughts on what you would like to persue in college? Construction never hurts as its a good mental processing tool to how things work, atleast on a basic level if not more. You def sound like you are becoming well rounded, did you have to compete for your internship? I cant imagine too many places are eager to take on someone under 18...then again if pay isn't a factor then legalities could be much different as well.

Either way, getting more well rounded experience on the corporate side never hurts, if anything it can help grow your technical speak with future employers. Just being around professionals and taking in their common everyday communication makes a big difference on others...especially when they arnt 18 and already can articulate themselves quite well in an interview.

I am a honest person so I will tell you i have lived a bless life in a well of neighborhood with parents who work there asses off to provide for me and some. My dad has always told me that the best thing you can inherit from me in my knowledge and connections. So i did not have to compete for this job because my dad knows the boss and set this up. That being said the boss did take a huge chance bring me here as i am not here doing busy work i'm doing actual work that effects the outcome of the company.
