General Grabber AT2 vs Falken Wild Peak AT3W?

So I have narrowed it down to these two tires. Wanted some opinions.

Both tires will be in Standard Load. I am looking for

A. Quiet as possible
B. Good Tread life
C. Best Year Round (Summer and harsh winter)
D. Minor to light off road

The Falken's in that article were not the WP AT3W but the AP AT (prev. rev/gen).

 

Good point - I knew they tested the original BFG KO (not the KO2) but missed that the Falkens have since been updated. Sorry about that.

 

Have the Falkens. Love them!

Aggressive look, as quiet as my road tires that were on the pavement princess when I got her! No complaints in wet weather. Don't do any off roading so I can't comment there.

I have grabber at2's on a wrangler. They are great and pretty quiet on the highway too.

Been a few weeks. We get some good wet weather in the Houston area. I drive about 50 miles round trip to work daily.

Falkens... I have a set, haven't put many miles on them, but I like the look, quietness, and drive.

 

Only have 450 miles on mine, but I love them so far.

 

Hard to compare them myself as I've never driven the Falkens.

I do own a set of AT2's and I love them but I don't think you could go wrong with either.

 

What kind of mpg's are you getting?

 

I've got AT2's on my '04. 20K+ miles and they show almost no wear and have been completely bullet proof. They wheel off-road every bit as good as the BFG's KO's that they replaced and are pretty quiet. My '17 will be getting a set when the stocker Michellins are toast.

 

I have the Generals 265/70/16. Zero road noise and fantastic dirt capabilities.

Oj, I have a 2012 ACLB V6 six speed manual transmission if that means anything.

 

Grabber AT2 - excellent tire on and off road, but noisy. And i think only come in E-Rated, so heavy as shit. But the Tacoma bros will like it, so you have that going for you.

 

Funny, mine are silent.

 

I'm not really sure I didn't calculate the first tank but I will the 2nd. I get horrible mileage, the best I have ever gotten hand calculated is 16.3 Mpg. I just did a 1440 mile trip from Dallas to Red River, NM and averaged 15.1Mpg with the RTT and camping gear.

 

I wouldn't call AT2's silent but they are very quiet considering the aggressive tread. With 20K on mine, I'd rate them SLIGHTLY less noisy than the KO2's I replaced.

 

The Wild Peaks are winning by a land slide. Wow!
