Seriously? I've had mine up to 90 several times while passing other cars and it done it effortlessly.

I could care less about trade in value so that's out the window as I will have this future truck a long time = 10 pluss years min. It will be my daily driver with a camper 50% of the time. Mostly camping and driving to work 1 time a week 50 miles one way. Otherwise to the beach 9 miles away. I will likely average 5-7k a year depending on trips

Here's my Tundra double cab (not crew cab). As you can see, there's plenty of room in the back for a car seat. Men over 6' tall have sat in the back with luggage and were comfortable. IMG_0819.jpgIMG_0820.jpg

I've had my taco for just a few months now coming from a titan. Like both equally but the titan was wayyy better on extended hwy trips leg room wise. Both ride great but overall for me the taco is better easier to park better mpgs the backseat on taco is way small for 5'10 plus but I'm sure you kiddo won't be that tall at 10. . Safety wise full size truck is better imho. Good luck with your decision.

Another vote for an F150. I traded my Taco for a loaded XLT crew cab two weeks ago. Same payment. Enormous back seat.

Don't recall OTD but sticker was 54 and we settled at 43. Then I pissed and moaned for a while until I got enough on my trade to keep the same payment. They're clearing out 17's, and I took advantage.

If I spent that kind of money on a truck I would just live in it. I paid 74K for my house and a half acre lot.

My 2.7 l 2nd gen with the 5 speed easily went 86 mph when I was in a hurry. I can't figure out why everyone else's is broken. I don't usually go that fast due to increased fuel consumption and other issues.

I suggest you keep your truck and trade in your wife for a smaller model! :stirthepot:

The double cab Tacoma requires the front seats to be moved forward enough with a rear facing car seat to where my 5'4" wife had her knees hit the dash when we took the truck. We avoided that most often and just used her car during the infant stage. Its fine now that the kiddo can sit front facing.

That's what I'm afraid of! We still plan on doing a fair bit of camping the first two years the child is in a rear facing seat. Prob not so much the first six month but after that yeah.
