20,000 mile update. 265/75r16 - original tread depth was around 14/32nds when I got them. The first 5,000 miles, the tread wear was quite drastic jumping down to around 11/32 all around. At the 10,000 mile mark it didnt jump down as fast; right around 9.5/32. Same with the 20,000 mile mark, Im right around 8/32. It could be from my driving. The first 5,000 was quite a bit of city driving and also off roading (rock, mud, dirt, sand). The other 15,000 was mostly highway. On another note, I do off road these tires and besides the standard depth wear, I have noticed these tires have quite a bit of cuts and also rounding of the tread blocks (all tread blocks). I also run right around 33 psi. Overall, I don't have any complaints with traction and especially the considering the cost is so reasonable, but not sure if i'll make it to the 50,000 mile mark if I off road these anymore. I guess we'll see. Plus, I want 285's. :) I forgot to mention that I do have a slit in one of the tires, but haven't had any issues yet (knock on wood) that I mentioned a while back.

Are you running LT or P rate tires? I've heard that the P-rated tires wear faster due to silica content or something. I went with E-rated because I wanted to have more tire than I needed rather than not enough, I've been happy so far but I'm a low mileage commuter when I'm not exploring so I can't speak to longevity.

I guess I really need to chalk test these, especially if everyone else is running much lower pressure and still happy.

We all like different things... I'm happy you love your truck but me personally i never wanted a tacoma until the 3rd gens came out.

This is my -third- 3rd gen. First 2016 was totaled, 2nd 2016 was 2wd and after a year i traded it for a 2017 4wd... Not a single REAL issue with any of em... I obviously love this truck LOL

I'm running the P rated tire for weight reasons since my truck is a 4 banger. Yeah, I had contacted Falken regarding tire pressure and he had told me to run around 30, but I thought that was kind of low so I'm running 33 instead. Im not sure about the LT. Chalk test is a good idea though. To your point, I will definitely be running an LT next time around, but will also be bumping up to 285.

I'm still having tire shake issues on mine. Had em road force balanced 3 times. one tire got replaced because it had bad wobble. Still dealing with shake though.. I'm wondering how much effort the shop is actually putting into it when it comes to moving the tire around on the rim and such. Seems like they are just putting weights on it wherever.

Decided to go with LT 265/75 R16 on my 2015 TRD Pro and so far I love them. Much quieter ride than I was expecting. IMG_4513.jpg IMG_4514.jpg IMG_4511.jpg

Jacked up the truck today.. All 4 tires have wobble.. Not as bad as the one that was replaced, But even the new one has some.. One of the fronts is worse than it. No wonder I cant get rid of the shake. Its not real bad, but enough you can see em wobbling. Wheels run true.

Has anyone had experience ordering them from Amazon from falken? Right now its cheaper with free shipping than ordering them from DTD.

I'll have to give them a call! They're pretty close on their ebay store. Do you know if you can buy the certs for replacement after the fact? Thinking about buying them when they get installed in 2 weeks

That doesn't sound that good. By 20,000 miles it will be time to replace at that rate.
