I feel your pain.

My "shop" is a metal building... Really just a 10x20 shed. If it's 90 outside the inside of the shop is 110... I tried window and floor ac units but the building is not insulated so they don't work for crap... Have them on for 3 hours and drop 2 degrees...

Fans at the windows work better.... But now i have put a regular yard sprinkler next to the shop that sprays one side of the shed and the roof. Crazy how effective it is at cooling it down. In the heat of the day the shop was 109 and within 15minutes or so it dropped to 88!

I know this isn't relevant to shit... But had to share my "success" haha

I worked in a garage bay for years. It's like a oven in the summer and a ice chest in the winter.

 

I was reading about misting my homes ac compressor. I was keen on the idea but am afraid of rust.

 

Had a black and dark blue car a long time ago. Last two have been white and the next two will also.

 

I put a new metal roof on my home a year ago or so. Right on top of the old shingle roof. It made a huge improvement on the inside temp as the home cools easier and quicker and the ac doesn't have to run as often... I have also noticed my electric bill dropped over 20 bucks a month.

But that's not a cheap task... Over $7k

All my south facing Windows on my home were also tinted. You'd be surprised the difference it made. The North side of my house is shaded and doesnt get much sun so those are not tinted. But it's nice to open the blinds and not have the sun set you on fire LOL

 

Back when I had a new roof installed, I replaced dark reddish brown shingles with off white ones. I also saw around a $20/month savings, about 8yrs ago.

 

I've thought about having someone come spray foam the attic and make it a cold zone.

 

I was considering it also actually let me know if you get a reputable company Joe.

There is a ways to go before this happens. So let's not all get to excited. Plus if I do the 4runner the kings are coming with. Might even be able to get the front bumper to fit somehow

 

yea we'll see. just getting on the list before it does happen haha. Gonna take some work to get the kings to fit on the 4 runner though. Also the rears will be useless
