Had mine done yesterday along with the rear diff recall. Took all day and most of today. Picked it up today and seemed smoother but may be wishful thinking. Will post again later when I have a few days experience with it.

Sorry for the delay, damn work getting in the way of my posts.
They didn't do anything else to my truck. I have gotten flashes in the past, every oil change I complain about it driving like crap. But this was just the replacement of that sensor.
My build date is Sept 2015 I think. I got the recall went on the site someone posted and that was listed. Nothing about the leak and I haven't noticed one.

December 2015 build and no recall notice yet. I take it as good news. Not saying I won't buy a newer version and toss it in my truck tool box to be safe.

I dropped mine off the night before when they were closed and I think I got a call around 10am that it was done. So best case they started at like 7:30 and I got called at 10? So couple of hours or so?

Took an hr . They ripped a rear frame rail splash shield / engine splash shield.. They are mailing it to the house per my request . It's a very thin rubber material. I could see it ripping easy. If it didn't rip at the top where it would flap down I would have said anything.

I would tell them to keep the plastic and give me credit towards a TRD metal skid plate.

Maybe I am wrong but it seems like I have more throttle response .

No if the dealer damages my plastic shields then I want that money to go towards something that will not rip. Same out of pocket to dealer. Not something for nothing. I would pay the difference. Should have been metal shields like they had on all the previous year Tacomas anyway.

Yep I did. Are guys really getting better throttle response / feel and mpg after the change? I'm actually thinking its time for a 2.8 durmax instead of pissing around more

Had mine replaced Tuesday and have driven about 200 miles since. I see ZERO difference. If you are waiting to see if this helps before you start looking at other vehicles I would recommend you go ahead and look for something else.

It's not a night and day thing but I think I notice a difference. Not in power or top speed but it seems like the pedal responds a touch more with less input. It's not like I installed a summit sticker and gained 50 horse.

IMG_1207.jpg IMG_1204.jpg IMG_1212.jpg Just installed my "98", no review until I've driven a few work commutes and can gauge over time. I will say the idle sounded/felt a bit different but that's it. I also pulled the btty neg while doing this job (a reset of sorts).Oh, and I had a heck of a time getting that bolt to start in the block lol.

Edit: The old CKP had some crud on it, including metal shavings stuck in place by the magnet inside the sensor.

Another day and no cps recall notice. Feeling pretty lucky so far.

What about brakes? mine just locked up? after i picked it up on the rearend seal recall (5 weeks in shop)

Brake pedal was spongy??Called dealer said bring it in.

Well when the brakes just locked up in a parking lot i had no choice.

Saying the brake lock up is part of the recall?

And he is also replacing the Brake Master cylinder.

Explain what recall this is from..

    2017 TRD Sport.

Not happy, round 2 2016 SR5 had problems too.

Feed back please i need to here it...
