I found 2 places open today where I can get a new fan motor. Have to go get all my tools at moms and come and pull my fan out.
At least the portable Ac worked and got a good night sleep. Still haven't heard from Ac neighbor up the street,I left message as soon as I got home last night.

Morning all. Yup, that line of thunder and rain Buck noted above moved through. There were a few really strong claps of thunder. I wonder if anything got hit in the neighborhood. Of course the dog decided she had to go out during the heaviest part. Mmmm, wet dog smell. o_O

Morning everyone. Storms hit us really hard last night. Torrential downpours, thunder, lighting, winds, no hail that I know of. Our red delicious heavy with apples blew over. Second time in a few years that this has happened. Had it propped up but blew over the other way last night. Going to try and straighten up but I'm not to sure about the root system. Appears I have some work to do today. My Amanda is not very jovial this morning...

Good morning folks. Gotta get ready and go meet the tire guy for the dumptruck. I'm just going to drive the Tacoma out there so I can come straight home when he gets done.

    ...coffee time...

Well that sucks. If not, you can use the the tree wood in your smoker.

Thanks Susan. The roots appear to be broken some, so I may just try and salvage this year's apples and pull it after. Sad thing is, Amanda's Father and I planted this tree some years ago. We have babied this tree and it has produced from year two. Her Dad and his family owned a local orchard for many years before finally selling it off. Gillan Bros Orchards. I expect a visit from him here shortly. Glad this storm did not tear up our honey crisp tree.

After reading that, it would be cool to be to have something made out of some of the wood.

I do not have that much skill in wood, with that said I do know you would have to get it milled down to some board or such and let it dry before doing anything with it. Perhaps check around the Amish community up there. That tree is not really big enough to turn into board material but it could be turned or something on a wood lathe into a decoration piece. Just a thought.
