yes the shocks will work. I ran 265/75/16 with just a little bit of rubbing on shock suspension when i hit a bump.

In my opinion, spacers do kind of suck. That being said, I have a few friends that run them and love them for the money...

    The 5100's are the ticket.

So all I need to order is rims, tires, and shocks, nothing else required?

Oh, and thanks for the replies guys, I think this is the only place to get good advice on Tacomas. All they know about is Chevys and Fords down here.

1.75 leveled 4x4 Access with attitude. Like to see a Pre at 1.75 the 265's were never a problem before install. Be in Sav. 4/1 if you need close-up.

Rear Leaf spring TSB, Bilstein 5100's all around w/ front set at 1.75", 265/75R/16 Mickey Thompson Baja STZ's, Trailer hitch w/custom wiring, AFE drop in dry filter, Rear Diff breather mod, Debadged truck, customized stock TRD wheel center caps, added factory fog lights, bed mat, door sills, tinted windows
At the 1.75" or 3rd setting with the 5100's on the 05-10 with stock springs used, an alignment and your done. At the 2.5 setting, add a UCA or your going to have issues with a correct alignment.

just lifted mine... 2.5 on the billies and a toytec AAL... 265/75/16's
-I have the diff drop and will install it next weekend.

-so far alignment seems fine but I'll have it checked asap.
-stiff but not as bad as expected, will add aftermarket shocks to the back when I can afford them.
    -no "drift" as of yet.
    -no complaints!

I just measured the front and rear fender height and my front is exactly 2.5" lower than the rear (after the tsb).
I have the 5100s here, ready to install, but now I dont know if I want to get the UCAs and go 2.5". I originally wanted to just do the 1.75, but knowing I can get a damn near perfectly level setup, I'm torn.

Unless you want your ride to slowly transform into a bro truck as the rear springs settle, set it at 1.75 and forget it.

Other 1.75 bonuses: no new UCA, better highway mpg, less harsh ride, & you can still put a little weight in your bed without looking goofy.

Rear springs should be settled by now. Been 4k miles!

But yea, I'm probably just gonna leave it at 1.75. I dont feel like dropping the coin on UCAs right now.

Just measured front and rear are both 36 3/4 in. Set at 1.75. Stock leafs and the look i was after with 265 x 16's is a good fit, doesn't look like it needs bigger tires.

Did you get your shocks installed anywhere around Savannah or do you know a good place to go?

I thought you could run 265/75-16's without any problem. I guess if it rubs. Then go down to 265/70
