    Not anymore dangerous that a steel winch line. 10 -15 years ago all I used was a chain. This was before straps and synthetic lines became so popular

    A few side notes:

    You'll need to buy the locking knobs separately from the cradles.

    The knobs are counterintuitive; I assumed the knobs would lock into place and not move. When "locked" they spin freely but don't loosen. Took me some time and beers to figure that one out.

    Knobs. I had to say it again.
