Because I wanted one. My money. It only bothers me on longer trips so I drive other vehicles on those. I think they should offer it but power seats are not a deal breaker for me. I need them but I need a lot of things in life that I don't always get. It still beats the Colorado every day and twice on Sunday for me.

No disrespect and not to get too deep, but there is a difference between "need" and "want"- it is a basic concept that seems lost in this world we all inhabit.

And thank you for your service, sincerely.

I agree that it is silly that higher trim tacomas that cost $35-40k do not have power seats. It doesn't bother me either that these trucks don't come with power seats because my last car didn't have them either although it was only a $19k car new so I was disappointed that it didn't have power seats.
I do adjust my seats on long road trips when I drove from WV to Atlanta, but my daily commute my seat stays in the same spot.
Toyota should defiantly make sure they stay ahead of the competition with basic features. I know toyota only makes significant changes to their models only when they feel market share is at stake but they should at least offer the basic features even economy compact sedans offer.

It's a circular continuum. You can need something so badly that you want it. You can also want something so badly you need it...

I get it. I do. I had a left knee explode. There's a bunch of bits missing, replaced with used, torqued down on top of nerve damage. We all do what we need to do to get by. It was 9 months before I could touch a clutch and get it in correctly. Trust me, I tried. Month 3. Month 6 was a little squirrelly. If you got a thing, you got a thing. But I imagine a lot of people are in fact those picky types that come from something this truck, traditionally and in spirit, is not.

I guess those are different guys than the ones that decided I needed power seats in my 4Runner.

Well, I wish they would put multi position height adjustable seats in the Tacoma premium packages so we could bitch about something else. :D

I mean we could kidnap them. I don't have any real complaints but I'll come along.

I honestly don't care about power seats (though they most certainly SHOULD be in a truck this expensive). I care a lot more about being able to get leather seats in a TRD sport/OR.

That and at least manual seat height adjustment.

I could really care less about power. Height or lowering would be nice for people that need it.

Once I get my 4Runner power seat set, I rarely mess with the settings. My fiance has been driving it for the past month so I don't really have it dialed back in.

The Tacoma seat height is fine for my size (5'10"). I also purchased a Conformax seat pad for trips which raises you over an inch.

Seems like they should add something for 2018.

I am also 5'10" and find the seats neither comfortable or uncomfortable but adequate, some up and down adjustment would really help whether power or not.

So possibility that Entune 3.0 would maybe be an ota update for 2016-2017's as well?

I more reliable Entune would be nice...
